HOYA CANDEO OPTRONICS Corporation was formed as a result of merging HOYA GROUP's photonics business with its optics business. CANDEO, meaning shine, is exactly what the Company supplies to customers. More specifically, optical devices (i.e. lasers, UV light sources, etc.) that utilize the optical technology developed by HOYA as well as products that embed these optical devices into systems are sold to a variety of manufacturers including those that make semiconductors, flat panel displays and optical components. In addition, electro optical glasses are sold to the industrial, medical and scientific communities by the Company.
